With the development of industrialization, multi-station turntable devices are widely used in automation assembly lines. A novel type of servo multi-station turntable is designed in this paper, which is driven by AC servo motor and harmonic reducer. And the device can be set in different indexing numbers and intermittent periods by software without changing the mechanical structure. So the device has good flexibility and high precision, and can meet different requirements in production line.The main research contents of this thesis include the following aspects:1. The overall design of servo multi-station turntable device is proposed, and through analysis and calculation, the AC servo motor and harmonic reducer are selected and the mechanical structure is designed. Control system is designed based on the analysis of acceleration and deceleration control algorithm. And STM32 processor is adopted as the core of control system which includes processor circuit, motor control circuit and man-machine interface circuit. And software design consists of main program, planning velocity curve program, rotation blockage protection program, button identification and parameter setting program.2. The mathematical models of AC servo motor and harmonic reducer are built and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, The simulation experiments are carried out to analyze influence of stiffness, friction damping, inertia and reduction ratio influence on the performance of turntable system.3. Performance evaluation indexes of multi-station turntable are introduced, and precision measuring programs of servo multi-station turntable are discussed and analyzed. Then eddy current displacement sensor and encoder are selected to design the measuring device.4. The servo multi-station turntable device experimental platform is established, and the relevant experiments have been carried out to research the performance of the device. Then analyze the experimental data and propose solutions. Through the experimental study, the device can accomplish positioning operation quickly and smoothly with high precision, and can meet the design requirements and has high practical value.
