Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of technology around the world, it brings massive benefit to entire industries, 3‐D laser scanning technique is one of these positive examples, latest technique speeds up upgrading of software and hardware, which also decreases maintenance. However, with the pressure from elevated standard of requirements, there are much more need to be done to improve the technique, which can be concluded into following several points, huge amount of touch‐off measuring probe, large number of noise point and too much redundant data, furthermore, how to eliminate noise point conveniently and simplify redundant data is the key point of this research area.Based on the conclusion of current condition of 3‐D laser scanning technique and the collection of operation procedures, this paper will go through simplification or touch‐off probe data as study subject, also analysis the key points in the process from original data to those which meet customers’ needs.The main content and findings are shown as following:1. This paper chooses four calculations as examples, which aim at touch‐off probe collection: Firstly, based on bounding box uniform streamline method; Secondly, based on bounding box K neighborhood quadric surface fitting; Thirdly, based on octree K neighborhood quadric surface fitting; Fourthly, based on octree K neighborhood angle method. Using these four methods to compare qualitatively and quantitively, this paper analysized the feasibility and pros and cons, hereby some questions with the developments of this paper:(1)How to improve the current method and gradingly differentiate the choosing of threshold value?(2)How to search neighborhood points to form K neighborhood or how to obviate the using of K neighborhood?2. According to current simplification calculations, this paper did some research about these two problems and go through its resolution by expounding original idea, principles, precise evidence and theory model to deduce feasibility. It also gives specific calculation cases to prove simplification methods by controlling alternating quantity under horizontally and vertically comparison, and finally come with the conclusion of feasibility.
