This paper mainly studies the monitoring system of vehicle on the move SATCOM system,when the car is under movement situation the earth station can target communication satellite to maintain high quality of the satellite communication link, and transmits voice, images, video and other data with another earth station.The monitoring system of vehicle on the move SATCOM system is a monitoring system of the satellite communication earth station which has small size in the car. It communicates with antenna through the serial port, monitors the antenna state, modifies and monitors satellite parameters. It is an essential part of vehicle on the move SATCOM system. This system is easy to use, and be powerful, suitable for any VSAT monitoring system.Monitoring system mainly consists of power module, serial communication module, storage module, beacon loss of lock module, button module and display module. Each module mutual coordination, harmonization and cooperation. The hardware design and software module of the core is the focus of this article.The performance of the antenna has been a more important indicator of communication system,when measuring antenna performance, can not be separable from repeated testing and researching the antenna pattern. This paper focuses on the research of the theoretical derivation of the antenna pattern based on the first order Bessel function; gives the theoretical calculation of azimuth and elevation angles, involves the transformation process of geocentric coordinate, geographic coordinates and the carrier coordinate; using crossover and mutation probability can be adaptive niche genetic algorithm to find the global optimum in view of the actual antenna pattern, innovation are put forward in the direction of the antenna of star algorithm.At present, the test in laboratory environment and in real vehicle environment results show that the design of the system is successful, and achieves a rapid and stable tracking of the target satellite.
