Since the 21 st century, wireless communication has made great progress. But with the widely application of the wireless communication system, available spectrum becomes less and less, which cannot meet the growing demand for communication. As a communication medium, wireless channel has a significant impact on communication quality. This paper uses time domain method to analyze the electromagnetic characteristics of wireless channel. In the analysis of wireless channel, this paper uses Alternating-Direction Implicit Finite-Difference Time-Domain to analyze indoor wireless channel. It can effectively overcomes the limits of stability condition, improves the computational efficiency. Further more, it is used to study the impacts of the electromagnetic parameters on the radio propagation. The main work of this paper is as follows:First, this paper uses FDTD method to simulate wireless channel. Because of its limited stability condition, its computational efficiency is not well. Since ADI-FDTD method is eliminating the limit of stability condition and unconditional stability, it can take larger time step which will increase the computational efficiency. Then the LOS model is simulated through FDTD and ADI-FDTD,then the results are compared with the relevant literature to prove the correctness of the FDTD and ADI-FDTD. For UWB channel, it simulates the typical indoor model through FDTD and ADI-FDTD, and compares the results. The results show that ADI-FDTD is feasible in wireless channel and the computation efficiency can be improved greatly.The indoor UWB wireless channel is analyzed by the time domain post-processing algorithm. It not only extracts the impulse response of the channel, but also gets the parameters closely related to the propagation characteristics of wireless channel. Finally this paper analyzes the impacts of the electromagnetic parameters and thickness of the wall on the radio propagation and gets some useful conclusions.
