With the development of economy and the acceleration of the construction of smart grid, the load of the power grid and the level of information technology have been growing. And gradually form a complex and large power grid which shows more complex features in the structure, operation mode and so on. As the special information communication network of the power system, power communication network carries all the services of power production and management, and have a crucial role to ensure normal operation of power network. It has important significance for the protection of electric power production to carry out risk analysis for power communication network.Based on the networking features of electric power communication network, networks of different structures in power communication network are analyzed, and the research on risk evaluation model of power communication network is focus on.For the Dispatching Data Network which has high security requirement and using SDH technology, the relationship between the communication network and the power grid are focus to analyse the network risk. The concept of TopoUnits is proposed to split a network. The reliability of TopoUnits can be calculated by analysing its structure. And the fault severity index of TopoUnits is got by taking the service and the node importance in the TopoUnits into account. Finally, the risk assessment indexes of TopoUnits are calculated by means of the combination of the reliability and fault severity index, then the indexes that evaluate the overall risk of the network can be calculated based on the risk assessment indexes of TopoUnits.For the Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN) that has high bandwidth requirements and use the OTN technology, network vulnerability is evaluated to analyze the risk of network from the perspective of the ability of the network to maintain the connectivity in the face of different attack modes in general topology. A K-terminal reliability calculation model based on topology aggregation and factoring method is established, and then the reliability between the boundary nodes of subdomain network is calculated to be the reliability of virtual link between the boundary nodes therefore the topology between the boundary nodes can be replaced and the network is simplified. Finally, the reliability of network can be calculated more easily by using the K-terminal reliability calculation model, and the network risk is analyzed under two models of random attacks and deliberate attacks.Targeted risk analysis methods are put forward considering the characteristics of different network structure, the evaluation result is more reasonable and practical, and has a certain application prospect in electric power communication network.
