Implementation Of The Text Normalization And Romanization In A Speech Synthesis System Of Dai

Speech synthesis refers to the process of turning text information into natural and fluent speech signals through the computer. With the development of linguistics, phonetics and computer technology,the quality and naturalness of the synthesized speech are greatly improved. Speech synthesis has been gradually applied in the field of information query, automatic answering call center, car navigation and so on. But for the monent, speech synthesis is mainly aim at Chinese, English and other commonly used language.While the research on national language is relative lack of. In order to develop the Daispeech synthesissystem, this thesisstudies and implements the Normalization and Romanization of Dai text. The main works in this thesis are as follows:1. We construct the Dai text analysis system, including text Normalization, word segmentation and text Romanization. From the perspective of development, the design scheme of the system is proposed,including the design of the module and class diagram and the logical structure of the system. And theimplementation steps of the Normalization and Romanization of Dai are also proposed.Meanwhile, weintegrate the word segmentation module in the system,so that the text analysis can be completed in a synchronized system.2. We statistics and classify the non-standard words of Dai, and study on the commonambiguity types and values pronunciation rules of Dai.We propose the Normalization algorithm of Dai,including the recognition of non-standard word, ambiguity judgment and disambiguation,adding numerical weights. And we write a program to implementthe Normalization of Dai.The results show that the correct rate of Normalization in this paper is 94.6%.3. According to the pronunciation rules and tone characteristics of Dai, we propose the Romanization scheme and tone taggingrules. Byanalyzing the pronunciation rules of Chinese loanwords in Dai, we present a Romanization schemeof the eleven Chinese phonemes, construct a Chineseloanwords Dictionary.On the basis of above scheme, we design the algorithm flow and write a program to implementthe Romanization of Dai. The results show the correct rate of Romanization in this paper is 100%.
