"help or not "have became a hot social topic since the "Peng Yu case" in 2006.The event of "help or not" aroused concerns and discussion among people, letting people to think about the problems of social trust. Trust is not only the foundation of people’s communication, but also prerequisite for social stability and development. Now, a serious social trust crisis endangering our society, which has become a stumbling block to the stability of society and the stable economic development. If we want to maintain the healthy development of our society, then a new trust mechanism should be established. F Frequent occurrence of similar incidents reflects a fact that the news media have great responsibility to the process of building social trust. If the news media lack social responsibility and lead a wrong direction for public opinion in the event of an ethical dilemma, the crisis of social trust and public trust in government will intensify. It will not be conducive to social stability and may affect the country’s regime. This article commence from the "help or not " events in recent years, analyzes and discusses the relationship between media and social trust and the media strategy for the reconstruction of social trust.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the background of the topic selection. Introduce the current situation and difficulties of social trust in our country. Analyses our system and mechanism and give the reasons to the missing social trust. Compare and summarize the research results from home and abroad. Analyze the prominent function of news media in constructing or deconstructing of social trust.In the second part, I will analyze the behavior and influence of the news media in the "Help or not" event. First introduce the current situation about "Help or not" event. Second, analyze the technique features of news report cases. Finally, find out the reasons why the media act different behavior by analyzing the motivations.The third part analyses the relationship between the media credibility and social trust. First starts from the concept of media credibility, then analyze the main factors that affect the media credibility, false news, the objective environment and so on. Finally starts from the concept of media credibility,then analyze the main factors that affect the media credibility and social trust are not isolated. Instead, they are influenced each other and have mutual transformation.The fourth part discusses the strategies to reconstruct news media that could help promote social trust. Find the joint point to rebuild the trust between members of society, from the guide position of the media and the way they report to the government-functions to integrate media and public.This article takes social trust as its research background, and "help or not" events as the breakthrough point, exploring the problems of social trust in our country with analysis of actual case and theoretical research, analyzing the influence that the media in dealing with the ethical dilemma problem and actively explores the function of news media in social trust reconstruction. It focused on the behavior and influence of the media in dealing with the ethical dilemma problem and actively explores the function of news media in social trust reconstruction. In this paper, i use the theory of social trust, media credibility, agenda setting, public opinion direction and so on, combined with the specific case of "help or not", coming up with the reconstruction strategy of social trust for the media.Due to the breadth and depth limits of media report cases and considering the fact that there are many reports that I cannot analyze in a comprehensive and detailed way, the strategy that refined from social trust reconstruction is not comprehensive.
