Optical remote sensing is an important technology, which is widely used in military reconnaissance, resource exploration, disaster monitoring, etc. At the present time, the space remote sensing techniques mainly adopt linear array detector, imaging in push sweeping way. This imaging method needs complex control system and has low efficiency. As the new large area array CCD and CMOS chip come into being, space remote sensing gradually turns into small, high resolution array imaging system. In this paper, the array imaging remote sensing method based on coded exposure technology is studied.Firstly, the selected topic basis and the research meaning of this subject will be illuminated, the imaging remote sensing research and application status at home and abroad are introduced. Secondly, starting from the basic theory of imaging, explain the concept of “Pushframe”, analysis the restriction of array imaging system in spatial resolution, exposure time, SNR and MTF. Thirdly, for image motion problem in Pushframe process, discuss the existing solution, detailedly analysis feature and shortage of several traditional plane array imaging technologies. An area array space remote imaging method based on coded exposure and an optimal searching method of controllable integration time codes for coded exposure are proposed. Code LookUp-Table(LUT) and imaging model are established. Simulation and optical experiments verified that using coded exposure technology in imaging system can obtain near ideal Pushframe images. The PSNR and SSIM algorithm are used to evaluate the simulation images quality which gain by the imaging model. Image-Quality-Equation(GIQE) is also introduced to calculate the NIIRS value for the ground resolution 3 meters remote imaging model. Finally, summarize paper work and point out the existing problems and shortages, look forward the future prospects of the development of high resolution plane array remote imaging technologies.
