High-speed cutting technology exhibits great superiority such as high cutting efficiency and low processing costs. In order to promote the application of high-speed cutting technology, the establishment of high-speed cutting database system has become an important research project.In this thesis, the fuzzy evaluation was used in the case-based reasoning system. Cutting parameter reasoning model and evaluation models of the reasoning results were built for high-speed cutting database system. As a result, the hybrid reasoning cutting database system was established based on fuzzy evaluation and case-based reasoning as well as cutting parameter reasoning model.Case-based reasoning method based on fuzzy evaluation was established and its application in cutting database system was studied. The principle of case description, case match, case retrieval and case modification was determined. The principle of case match was studied. The local similarity of seven workpiece attributes was obtained and the weight of each workpiece attribute was calculated based on fuzzy evaluation, which can be used to calculate the overall similarity. The principle of case description, case retrieval and case modification was studied. The case description in case database was determined, including the attributes of problem description and solution as well as the assessment of each case. The K-nearest neighbor algorithm to retrieve cases was studied and the sequence of each attribute was determined in case modification.The reasoning model used in tool database and cutting parameter database of the high-speed cutting database system was established and the hybrid reasoning flow of the high-speed cutting database system was reached. Match model of chemical properties was established and match relationships between tool material and workpiece material were determined by analyzing the match between tool material and workpiece material in the aspect of chemical properties, mechanical properties and physical properties. The cutting parameter reasoning model and evaluation models of reasoning results used in the high-speed cutting database system were established. The evaluation models of cutting force, surface roughness and flank wear were established and the correctness of each evaluation model was verified.The design and implementation of high-speed cutting database system were completed. The overall database architecture of high-speed cutting database system was designed. The conceptual design was completed with the help of E-R model and logical design of E-R model was completed. The development mode and the development tools of high-speed cutting database system were determined. The high-speed cutting database system was designed and established successfully, which included case database, tool database and cutting parameter database. In the high-speed cutting database system, case retrieval, query of tool material, reasoning of cutting parameters and evaluation of cutting machinability were realized.
