With the development of information technology, a large sum of operation data of thermal power plant was storaged through the real-time database in the actual operation process. The best optimal target value under different conditions of operation was determined by the unit operation in the historical data, by means of adjusting the operation parameters and operation mode to improve the production efficiency of power plants, and the coal consumption of power supply units on the basis of existing equipment was reduced. However, the traditional data analysis methods could simply perform operations on unit data of the history operation, it is difficult to obtain meaningful information from a large number of historical data in operation. The advantage of data mining technology is choose the operation parameters of the optimal value from the historical data mining operation of the unit in different working conditions, then provide theoretical guidance for the economic operation of power plant, the operation guidance and energy-saving.This paper is based on the classical association rules mining algorithm, aiming at the actual operational dataof the power plant, putting forward a fuzzy c-means algorithm(fuzzy C-means(FCM) and fuzzy association rules with a mining algorithm for mining thermal power plant important operating parameters of the optimal objective value. In the case of the amount of data is huge and without prior knowledge, the algorithm of FCM can determine the important parameters of fuzzy membership function by the method of data driving.The above methods are mainly applied to the static database, but the actual operation of the thermal power plant will continue to accumulate new data. Therefore, after the original database has changed, put forward Incremental mining algorithms based on FCM, the algorithm can make full use of existing mining results, avoid repeated mining, improve the mining efficiency. Finally, the optimization goal of the main operating parameters under the stable condition value mined in the historical data of 300 MW unit, and analysing the results. The results show that the Optimal target value,which was determined by the algorithm of mining fuzzy association rules based on FCM, can improve the running efficiency of the unit, and can be used to guide the optimization of unit operation better.
