Filter is a pivotal microwave systems microwave devices, because of its excellent microwave frequency selectivity is widely used in radar, satellite and other communication systems. It can be used as microwave transceiver system link selection device, the device can also be used as a band attenuation.Waveguide filter with high power, high Q, low insertion loss, etc., but it too has limited the volume of its use. Microstrip filter has the advantage of small size and ease of integration, but has a low power capacity, good selectivity and other shortcomings.With the microwave system toward miniaturization, integration and high power in the direction of the market needed a filter to meet these requirements.The 1990 s, the emergence of a new transmission line called substrate integrated waveguide satisfy miniaturization, ease of integration, as well as the advantages of high power capability. Subsequently, SIW microwave devices continue to emerge, and while the current LTCC technology, combined with a photolithographic process, etc., to achieve high-precision large-scale production. SIW filter is easy to implement multi-layer design, which can greatly reduce the volume of the filter and using the welding area.Based on the many advantages of SIW filter combines modern quasi-elliptic filter high squareness, the advantages of the high-band rejection, the paper launched a new vertical SIW filter design. Based on the transmission characteristics SIW designed a Ka-band SIW transmission lines, and based on this transmission line, designed a quasi elliptic filter design theory of filters. The basic properties are as follows: the conduction band of 34GHz-35.5GHz, in-band insertion loss less than 1.2dB, 500 MHz band suppression greater than 40 dB. This paper also presents a vertical switching device to port with a multilayer SIW devices such multilayer SIW devices easier to use and test the actual system. This article is designed to test the filter after processing, although not achieve the desired effect, but the effect is expected to close. Were the subject of the latest design by LTCC technology, can improve design accuracy and design specifications of the filter.
