As the bistatic synthetic aperture radar(SAR) in-depth study,for the past few years,the multistatic SAR has attracted scholars research interest and attention,and gradually become a hot topic in the field of current research on SAR。As there are some limitations in bistatic SAR imaging resolution, Therefore, in order to improve the resolution,to base more in-depth study of synthetic aperture radar(SAR) is more and more attention。This paper mainly studies the synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system of single transmitter to multiple receiver, namely a platform to launch signal, multiple platforms to receive signals, each platform works independently, without interfering with each other. The multistatic SAR system is mainly composed of several groups of bistatic SAR,its imaging is based on the bistatic SAR,the using of various reception at different position caused by the doppler center frequency differences for synthesis of band wider doppler frequency band, and to achieve high resolution imaging through.Due to multiple receiving platform in the multistatic SAR,so the distance between the transmitter platform is different, so the relative position between the receiving platform will be one of the focuses of this article,in this paper, the main work is as follows:1. Analysis the bistatic SAR echo model, the geometric model, and the empty degeneration theory.2. Analyses the resolution characteristic of the multistatic SAR, and demonstrates the high resolution characteristics of multistatic SAR image,according to doppler difference of received signals from different receivers of the multistatic SAR,obtaining the best baseline criteria for two flight modes. Finally we can get the experience formula of the theory、the experience formula of azimuth resolution based on the theory of optimal baseline.3. Analysis multiple Bistatic SAR imaging algorithm,to verify which is suitable for the multistatic SAR,And the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm in the imaging effect of double/multiple base SAR system and come to the corresponding conclusions finally.
