Currently, Since the intangible cultural heritage-the Chinese shadow play is not accompanied by a change in popular culture entertainment. It is facing an unbearable situation of extinction until it gradually disappeared into history clouds. Promotion and protection of the art of shadow play is imminent, the use of new computer technology to produce digital shadow system has become one of the directions.Based on the art of silhouette conduct research on the design and implementation of a digital system based on natural shadow interactive machines, giving users the experience and shadow play performances, learning platform. The system realizes interaction framework designed by the Unreal Engine 4 professional script editor BP system programming for gesture recognition and capture of Leap Motion controller input devices, Visual Studio version with internal engine calls for the C++ programming language the basic class, the final shadow system operation and display in the form of Unreal Engine 4’s executable file. The system will shadow a story into several scenes, and shows the development of the role of the various actions and shadow story in the scene. Simulation scenarios, using a two-dimensional non-photorealistic method, inherited the traditional style of the shadow screen, a user-experience to restore a realistic feel of the real world of shadow play.The system for the dissemination of performing arts shadow provides a platform, users can use hand movements to control the action role shadow, shadow play performer performance simulation process, to experience the charm of Chinese classical art, understanding, learning shadow performing arts.
