Electronic sand table can also be called a three-dimensional geographic information system, it contains a number of new and high technology, such as infrared sensing, GIS remote sensing, geographic information system, three-dimensional simulation, virtual technology. The simulation technology and virtual technology is the main technical support of electronic sand table, with the constant development of computer technology in the contemporary, the electronic sand table in integration with new technology, the electronic sand table after introducing multi-touch and the simulation technology, augmented reality and virtual technology, somatosensory interaction, etc, satisfied the need of people pursue more vivid picture, interact more natural. So the rapid development of electronic sand table that introduces new and high technology is not only the inevitable result of the development of social science and technology, but also to meet the needs of the people to pursue higher.Until now, electronic sand table already has been applied in many fields, such as in military, agriculture as well as teaching, and so on. According to the function of the electronic sand table in various industries, it can be roughly divided into the kinds of multimedia electronic sand table, touch electronic sand table, digital sand table, this also is current relatively popular three kinds of electronic sand table in the market.Interactivity is a very important standard for the property of electronic sand table, the higher the interactivity, the stronger the interaction ability of the commander and electronic sand table, it also appears more intelligent. So people are now keen to making all kinds of interactive electronic sand table, such as the method based on multiple agent (agent) to build the multimodal interactive system,provide the commander with the efficient and natural interaction, so as to improve the efficiency of the command of the commander.In this paper, this electronic sand table is an interactive electronic sand table,according to the design of the electronic sand table function characteristics, it can be called touch electronic sand table. This kind of electronic sand table firstly builds the physical model of real, then on this basis, equipping it with the camera and computer, voice broadcast equipment, etc. it also can connect a display device for touching. The design of electronic sand table is to put the camera installed in the upper part of the electronic sand table model to monitor sand table model, as well as electronic sand table system equipped with a remote control display devices to realize the wireless connection with the electronic sand table system. Visitors can through the electronic sand table display device, click touch the location that they want to know, it can also use the laser pen or use hand point directly to the physical model.When commander use laser pen or gestures, cameras capture video images, then use the collected images to identify the laser spot and gesture and convert their coordinate information, then the coordinates information that has been transformed through the messaging system will be sent to the main control display module of the electronic sand table system. The main control display module of the electronic sand table system will receive the coordinate information, through function call to play a corresponding voice or video files in the region,ultimately achieve the function of playing voice or video to introduce.
