With the development and maturity of automated essay scoring(AES) technology, computer-aided marking system based on AES began to assist English writing teaching in some colleges and universities. But the design of domestic computer-aided marking system has some unreasonable defects, which make it inappropriate for college English writing teaching. As a result, researching and designing a computer-aided marking system which can expand the patterns of English writing teaching and maximize the integration of English education resources has become quite important. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to research and implement a computer-aided marking system which is more applicable to college English writing teaching nowadays.Through analysis and comparison of the current domestic and international computer-aided marking system, this paper researches and realizes a computer-aided English essay marking system which is more suitable for Chinese college students’English writing teaching. In order to achieve this goal, this paper tries to begin from the following aspects:First of all, aiming at the problem of recommend learning materials after students writing and the problem of AES engine performance optimization in system, we carried on the deep discussion and research. For the former, the recommendation of excellent compositions based on similarity, examples based on collocation errors and theme re-lated proverbs are designed and implemented. For the latter, according to the idea of the critical path is the shortest of AOE network, the author redesigns the engine analyzer scheduling.Secondly, through research and discussions with professional English teachers, this paper analyzes the demand for computer-aided English writing marking system in detail from functional and non-functional aspects.Thirdly, combined with the result of demand analysis, this paper determines the development model and system framework, and designs various functional modules of the system, data storage and interface in detail.Finally, after reasonable choose the development environment and development tools, the author constructs the system basic framework, and then, implement and test the functions of assign homeworks, essay marking, students learning materials recom-mended and AES engine performance optimization.Based on the comprehensive considerations about the features of domestic college English writing teaching, the situation of AES and the need for auxiliary teaching tools, this paper researches and designs a computer-aided marking system which is more ap- plicable to college English writing teaching and at last realizes part of its core functions. Meanwhile, for promoting students’learning effect and optimizing system engine, we studied and implemented relevant recommendation algorithm and engine optimization project. Compared to other domestic composition correcting system, this system has stronger application prospects and research significance, because it is more rational and appropriate for college English writing teaching. Currently, the system has begun a pilot, then will be tested in several other universities and improved gradually.
