The study of surface EMG in the field of biomedical engineering is an important content,and its application focuses on medicine of rehabilitation,pattern recogniton,human-computer interaction control and other fields. The pattern recognition technology of surface EMG in the study of human-computer interaction has become one of the hotspots of the present research. This article will systematically study the mechanism of EMG, the hardware and software design of system,the method of signal acquisition,the extraction of signal characterristics, the pattern classification,the interactive control of simulation hand and so on,and verify the feasibility and accuracy of the interaction control of surface EMG based on different hand gestures to simulate hand.The specific method of portable eight-channels EMG acquisition system is that:(1)surface EMG extracted from the electrodes of the sensor transmits to EMG acquisition instruments,firstly the signals pass into preamplifier, a high-pass filter, low pass filtering by analog circuits and the analog to digital converter A / D, DSP signal conditioning, the USB processing by digital circuit,then uploads to the PC host computer,waiting for the next step of SEMG software processing;(2)The software firstly achieves the design of embedded and PC programs,then it achieves the design of the digital comb filter for the removal of 50 Hz frequency interference and its integer times harmonics;(3)The study based on pattern recognition of human-computer interaction technology to achieve a rapid identification and classification of surface EMG of different gestures, enabling the control of the simulation hand of different gestures.The recognition accuracy of the system reaches up to 90% after verification experiment.The system has non-invasive portability, simple operation, security, stability and other characteristics,even it’s a medical device that allows the patients with hand disease to use it according to their own subjective awareness,and it’s more humance to help them to carry out rehabilitation and ergonomics.
