The Statistics show that millions of people who die of sudden cardiac death each year all around the world. Studies have found that TWA has a high value for predicting cardiac sudden death. For current TWA detection method have not formed a unified standard, the precision accuracy needs to be improved under the premise, on the basis of summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of various detection methods of TWA in the past, following several aspects of work have done in this article:(1) The preprocessing of ECG signal. In this respect, we first analyze the noise of ECG signal and proposed the corresponding method of eliminating the noise. Furthermore our study focuses on method of the eliminated base line drift which affected severely on the TWA detection, we proposed a method of eliminate base line drift - a modified method of cubic spline interpolation which used two points in each beat. Secondly we described the method and process of characteristic wave detection, which included the slope and threshold method of detection the R-wave, and the T-wave detection method using empirical mode decomposition.(2)TWA detection. Proposed a method of detecting TWA which combined correlation method and least square method after the analysis of the methods of MMA, CM and SM. This method using the advantage of correlation method to detect non-stationary T wave alternation, at the same time for the faults of correlation method is sensitive to noise, T wave alternation quantitative values was calculated by the least squares method. By comparing simulation and clinical trials, and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of these four methods.(3) The design of software for analysis and detection of TWA. In this section we design the overall function of the software and structure modules like ECG signal acquisition module, ECG signal processing module, information module. Besides we made a detailed process analysis for the ECG signal processing module.Finally, made a summary for the whole article, point out the existing problem and prospect the direction of the improvement.
