Design And Implementation Of Alumni Website

The development of the Internet of all kinds of network service system made an significant impact on the way of our communication.People can communicate anywhere and anytime with the emergence of various chatting software. But gradually the outdated and traditional way of contacts cannot meet the needs of the modern life. At this moment, the alumni site arises as a convenient platform at the historic moment. Now many universities have also established their own dedicated alumni site,but most of them only release information about schoolfellows. This kind of web site can not really meet the communication needs. So what we need now is to establish a communication platform which can meet the demands of communication via the Internet. In this way can achieve effective communication between students and alumni.This paper introduces the process of the analysis and design of the alumni site. First, be sure to use ASP to develop dynamic web pages on Dremweaver CS6. Next, the back stage management using Microsoft Access database to store data. Last, release the web site by IIS. Before the development we need to analyze requirements in detail. The web site is divided into several main function modules which includes register/login module, school yearbook module, alumni donation module, old story module and old photo module. After that, we need to design the database and table structure via drawing the E-R diagram. When we finished the development, we also need to test the site we just build to figure out if anything is wrong. If all goes well, we finally established a website to meet the user’s needs and make the understanding and contacts more convenience.
