As a new radar technology, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) radar was studied by domestic and foreign scholars in recent years. The Multiple-Input Multiple-Output technology of MIMO radar launches orthogonal waveforms simultaneously by using multiple transmit antennas, it receives echo signal by a plurality of receiving antennas, and uses the matched filtering techniques to process the echo signal. MIMO radar has high estimation accuracy and high resolution, however MIMO radar was susceptible to electromagnetic interference environmental at the same time. This paper studied the MIMO radar based on Electromagnetic Environment Sensory. It was also called Electromagnetic Environment Sensory MIMO. Electromagnetic Environment Sensory MIMO radar can estimate the spectrum of environmental interference and reduce the environmental impact of background noise on radar by designing orthogonal waveforms which can avoid interference band. The ambient noise algorithm of gauss distribution assumption works well in most conditions, but when we talk about radar environmental noise, alpha stable distribution maybe a better choice. The paper mainly researched electromagnetic environment sensing algorithm of electromagnetic environment sensory MIMO radar with alpha noise, and then designed orthogonal waveforms and used DOA estimation methods to verify the superiority of electromagnetic environment sensory MIMO radar. The main contents are as follows:First, since there is no finite second moment in alpha stable distribution noise, it was unsuitable to use correlation function to deal with the alpha noise. Therefore, this paper studied the spectrum sensing algorithms based on normalized correlation. The paper analyzed the Convergence in probability of the normalized correlation in ARMA stochastic process which provided a theoretical support of normalized correlation theory to alpha noise. To solve the problem of spectrum sensing for electromagnetic environment sensory MIMO radar with alpha noise, we presented normalized correlation Levinson Algorithm to solve the problem of narrowband interference noise and normalized correlation SVD-TLS algorithm to solve the problem of harmonic interference. We also used the matlab simulation to test our methods. This is the key part of this paper.Second, this paper introduced the method of DFCW orthogonal waveform based on discrete frequency-coding waveform and the related analysis of the orthogonal waveforms performance. It also introduced adaptation thought based on the basis of conventional genetic algorithm and designed DFCW orthogonal waveforms using adaptation genetic algorithm. We completed of the corresponding simulation at last.At last, by using spectrum sensing results of alpha stable narrow-band interference and harmonic interference, and also waveform design results, the interference are weaken. we used a minimum norm method based on fractional low order statistics to solve the problem of joint Estimation of DOA and DOD. The simulation showed that the proposed electromagnetic environment perception algorithms are valid.
