Virtual plant simulation technology combine with computer technology is benefit to crop yield forecast, search crop growth rules. Simulation of plant morphology is a major part of virtual plant, and as the main part of the plant, the leaf plays an important role in absorb oxygen, light energy, transportation and so on. This paper takes soybean leaf as the research object, modeling and simulation. First, simulation its contour and veins alone, combine into a complete piece of leaf; Then, to simulate the leaf in three-dimensional. This paper collected leaves image from the experiment filed in the north of Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, based on this image, to feature extraction, detection, then establish the overall model, then it provide a basic data for observing the soybean leaf and the synchronous growth of the soybean plant.(1) Construct the model of leaf contourBefore extraction the blade contour of soybean needs a series of necessary preprocessing, so that it can eliminate the irrelevant information in images, in this process include graying, denoising, threshold segmentation, edge detection and so on. Then, combine non-uniform b-spline curve with extracted corner building the leaf contour, the result show that this method has a better effect and a shorter time on leaf contour, then is it easy to achieve.(2) Construction the veinChoose the L system to simulate soybean veins. By observing the actual vein’s main and lateral veins between angle, shape and direction to simulate the veins, and regard the contour as a boundary, establishing the veins within the boundaries.(3) Construction the bending effect of the leafAs we establish the soybean contour is based on leaf image, so the method of Laplace transform is used to realize the bending effect of the blade. Choose some feature points from the leaf contour and vein, using Delaunay triangular and Loop subdivision to establish the leaf surface, then using Laplace transform to simulation the bending effect.All the experiments in this paper were in Matlab 7.1, the experiment shows that the method in this paper can construct a realistic leaf, at the same time, it has feasibility and actual value in research.
