The Key Technology And System Of Tactile Perception

With the development of bionics and robots, robots can imitate humans’ behaviors in aspects of vision, audition, motion and so on. However, the workspace of robots is becoming more and more complex, which increases the demand of tactile. Tactile also becomes a new research hotspot. Although the research of tactile perception has a history of 40 years, it develops slowly because of lacking application scenery, poor development of software and hardware technology. Up to 21st century, various of mature products or solutions have appeared.This article covers a survey about the key technology of tactile perception in aspects of software, hardware, marketization and so on. Based on the survey and my research work, we summarize an abstract model of tactile perception. In addition, in order to verify the tactile ability of robot arm which is deployed with tactile sensors. we do experiments of item classification and acquire desired results. We also take part in the work of E-Skin and Digital Bladder to research the application prospect of tactile technology in the domain of biomedical.The main contributions of this paper are:1) Based on present situation of tactile perception, we summarize an abstract model and give a solution implemented by OSGi.2) We construct a Robot Arm with Tactile Lab System. I’m mainly in charge of data acquisition, embedded development and python API development of robot hand.3) Based on the Robot Arm with Tactile Lab System. I classify different items by action of grab or slip, and acquire desired results4) Based on the programs of E-Skin and Digital Bladder, we research the application prospect of tactile technology in the domain of biomedical.
