The traditional network framework has gradually unable to support substantial growth of new network applications. So it needs a new open programmable network framework to support the various types of network business requirements. SDN separates the control plane and data forwarding plane of network in programmable software style, which can implement centralized control and flexible management. It makes all kinds of new network business can develop and innovate on this platform.So far, SDN has always been paid widespread attention. It is widely recognized as an important technology which can solve the problem of existing network and promote future network development. But the concrete implementation of SDN still has many disputes in the industry. OpenFlow is the earliest and the most representative technology which can implement SDN. ForCES is also a technology to implement SDN framework. It separates the control element and data forwarding element of network equipment, and implements centralized management from CE to FE. So its feature is quite coincident with the original intention of SDN. In addition, ForCES abstracts resource as LFB, and it has been defined standardly. It is so suitable to the requirement of abstracting network resources in SDN. Above all, research of applying ForCES to SDN implementation has become focus in the industry.This paper proposes a SDN framework based on ForCES. And it focuses on the configuration layer which plays an important role of connecting application layer and control layer. This paper describes its requirements, design and implementation.Chapter 3 proposes the architecture of the configuration layer, and analyzes its LFB chain construct module and data transfer module. It illustrates the typical structure of LFB chain in LFB chain construct module and the higher-level data and lower-level data in data transfer module. In chapter 4, based on the method of sequential LFB chain composition, this paper proposes a method of branch LFB chain composition. After formally describing LFB model and defining LFB relationship, it proposes an algorithm of LFB chain composition.Chapter 5 implements configuration layer, including LFB chain construct module and data transfer module. Detailed data structures and flow charts are described. Chapter 6 gives test result of configuration layer implementation. Based on the REST API as the northbound interface, it tests the operation of virtual network. It also gives the LFB chain construct test result and data transfer test result.
