With the continuous development of wireless communication technologies, the increasing demand of information on the quality of wireless communications have become more and more increasingly. Compared with wired QoS, wireless networks lack of consideration of multi-service and lack of a rich variety of QoS mechanisms to process a variety of business data.Traditional wireless network allocate its resources averagely. When some traffic exceeds the speed will not work, and some equipment which allocats too many resources will lead to a waste of resources. Such as voice traffic, video streaming, etc. which must ensure satisfactory user experience should have strict requirements for priority in the allocation of resources. In order to manage different data streams, we must use QoS.This thesis firstly introduces the theory and technology standards of wireless LANs and WMM protocol. Then it analyzes the command of WMM module configuration and channel access control needs, and then descripts the analysis and design of this module. Finally, this thesis realizes the function of WMM module. This module using AC and Fit AP equipment architecture, and transmit command configuration from AC devices to AP. When STA sends a transport stream to AP, the AP device must ensure that the channel has assigned priority queue occupancy rate and ensure the allocation of priority queue has enough resource to allocate which can not exceed the total channel utilization rate. This thesis from the general to the local, from STA management system to the module of WMM channel access control, this module analyses the detailed design and implementation. Finally, these modules pass the system test, and then complete the design of the channel access control module.
