The electromagnetic force sensor is widely used in all kinds of high precision weighing instruments. In recent years, high precision weighing industry developed rapidly, the annual demand of the electromagnetic force sensors is growing. China’s high precision weighing instrument development started relatively late, the technical level lags behind the developed countries. Domestic research of electromagnetic force sensors basically rely on imitation, this process due to the lack of theoretical basis and the manufacturing technology level is limited, resulting in the performance behind foreign products. In addition, the spring leaf of domestic electromagnetic force sensor often break, leading to the decrease of products reliability and the sharp increase in the rate of return to the factory.The elastic component is the important part of electromagnetic force sensor. Its material, heat treatment, structure, processing and fabrication have important effect on the performance of electromagnetic force sensor in practice. Therefore, it is very important to study the effects of elastic component on the performance of electromagnetic force sensor form theory and practice.Firstly, according to the working principle of electromagnetic force sensor, this paper analyze the stress state of electromagnetic force sensor system under different working conditions, getting the displacement law of the key parts,also finding the stress state and failure forms of three kinds of spring leafs.Secondly, this paper analyze the the structure and material of the domestic and the foreign spring leafs, found that they used the same material. Under the smelting conditions, domestic material containing much impurities, uniformity and the surface roughness is low.Also, we calculated the static strength by using finite element analysis for the electromagnetic force sensor system, and obtained the maximum stress, strain of the risk components and the sensitivity, linearity and other parameters of this system.Furthermore, we studied the resistance buckling capacity of short sling, and how affected by its structure parameters. At the same time, we did research on the sensitivity of single reinforcement, and its structure parameters effect on the sensitivity.Then, this article studied the dynamic response of electromagnetic force sensor system and its single reinforcement, getting their natural frequencies and mode shapes and the dynamic performance parameters, such as overshoot and adjusting time.Finally, in order to improve the performance of electromagnetic force sensor, we propose some feasible improvement measures in these ways, such as single reinforcement’s materials, heat treatment, structure, processing and fabrication and so on.
