QoE Assessment Considering Mobile Terminal Parameters

Transmission quality of mobile internet services has a qualitative upgrade during the construction of 3G and LTE networks, as well as the quick growth of service popularities. However, user loyalty has been observed to greatly decrease in nowadays network due to the massive choices comparing to traditional telecommunication networks. Thus, how to ensure and promote QoE(Quality of Experience) has become a big issue to the telecommunication operators. At present, researches pay a lot of attention on the mapping relationship between parameters of QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE. For example, error bits in key frames of a video would dramatically affect the user experience than those in normal frames.Considered that services of network was finally presented on mobile terminals, such as mobile phone or pad, the terminal might be the last node in the model of QoE for whose performance could affect the display effect of services, such as frame delay and its jitter. The experiments validates our hypothesis. Thus, for a further step we go, what parameters of the mobile terminal would affect the network services, and how they act in the QoE model, were studied in this dissertation. And a revised QoE feedback model was proposed to improve the accuracy of QoE assessment which could be used in resource scheduling at core network side.
