The Design And Implementation Of Internet-based Music Recommendation System

With the spreading influence of Internet into every aspect of people’s life, the services provided by Internet become more and more intelligent and personalized. At the same time, the quantity and diversity of resources accessible from Internet have also been expanding explosively. To effectively coping with such situation, it has shown remarkable social demands for methods and systems that deliver to the users the personalized content and service from Internet that coincide with their interests.This thesis proposed and implemented an Internet-based music recommendation system in response to the users’ humanized and personalized demands for Internet music services. This system implemented two main services:the music search service providing the user with accurate retrieval results, and the intelligent and personalized music recommendation service based on the usage history and interests of the user. The system acquires the musical contents from Internet by the web crawler technology, and indexes the local music database with Clucene search engine. On the basis of these, the system implemented the recommendation algorithm personalized to the user’s interests.
