Since the Ultra-Wideband technology had been opened to the public,it enjoyed a high level of popularity among the technology companies and universities and became the focus of the wireless communication research. The UWB plays a very important role among the GPR, the penetrating the wall radar, the life-detection radar and the medical imaging equipment. It also contributes to the vehicle radar system as well as communication and investigating system.There are no carry wave UWB and carry wave UWB in UWB wireless communications. The article mainly focuses on UWB impulse generators based on the research of no carry wave UWB system. It has made a theoretical analysis on UWB pulse character and designed some UWB pulse generating circuits as well as made software simulations on them. The article’s contents include followings: the introduction of UWB technology and its emitting signal theory which provide a theoretical foundation for UWB radar to select the right UWB pulse.Introducing the UWB pulse generating technology briefly and proposing several circuits based on avalanche transistor and SRD. At last, two novel UWB signal emitting circuits have been proposed and a theoretical analysis and software simulation have been put on them. At the same time a new ADS modeling method for SRD has been used in the circuit.The article mainly works on the research of UWB impulse generators, especially on the simulation of SRD and avalanche transistor based impulse generating circuits so that to create a narrower and higher amplitude UWB impulse which is easier for the antenna to emit.
