Digital image enhancement technology is important and one of the hot research field of image processing, is now declining air quality, leading to foggy weather outdoor machine vision greatly affected, for example, identification, transportation and navigation in areas such as national defense and military targets, outdoor machine vision are subject to different degrees of interference foggy weather. In foggy conditions, light reflected by the subject in the transmission process and the interaction between aerosols, causing its spread and changes in energy propagation path may cause the captured image brightness, resolution, contrast, and other aspects of a fuzzy edge information decreased, it is difficult to extract from the image feature information valid, the inconvenience factor generated for the subsequent image processing and understanding.Performed for image noise background image enhancement, some domestic and foreign scholars have conducted research studies in varying degrees, in the analysis process for bad weather conditions will lead to reduced degradation of image contrast, clarity is poor. The image is so foggy, foggy weather on the image forming mode of action to change the performance of image depth, and therefore, the image defogging operations are research has been very challenging. Currently researchers proposed many effective image enhancement algorithm of images and the additional information based on the algorithm to achieve image defogging operation.In this paper, in-depth research and analysis of the characteristics of each of their adaptability to improve image quality, the merits of the case to keep the color and speed of calculation, analysis of four commonly used classical image enhancement algorithms are summarized. On the basis of the existing image enhancement algorithms for outdoor foggy image proposes an improved algorithm based on dark channel priority outdoor image defogging.Improved algorithm based defogging dark outdoor image channel priority set forth herein, by computer image is dark passage DCP value, and in accordance with the projected rate of t DCP value estimate of the foggy image, and then get the initial transmission diagram of atmospheric veil estimate calculated using formulas fog image restoration image restoration, image color for the poor recovery after adjusting image color to eliminate the process of color distortion. Comparative Fattal’s algorithms, this algorithm is more obvious in the image detail, true color reduction is more delicate, time complexity of the algorithm is less than Fattal’s. Compare Tarel’s algorithm and processing speed Tarel’s algorithm ideal time complexity is O(n), but the effect it handles FIG problems of green space in the mist can’t be eliminated, and the sky color processing it is not correct, so it is only a selection of the geometric standard, so it is difficult to determine whether the observed part of the white is the color of the fog or the target object.The proposed algorithm, which can achieve outdoor image defogging operation, this image enhancement is an important part of image processing and plays pivot role in laying the foundation for the subsequent image processing, image processing of high-level play decisive role.
