Study On Scheduling Mechanism Of Operating Systems

OS is the important and key foundation of computer, and the scheduling mechanism of OS is the most important one of those keys. It is of very important value on theory and on actual application to research the scheduling mechanism of OS.In this paper, we discuss the hardware foundation and key questions to implement scheduling mechanism of OS, and model and test the basic environment of OS and its simple scheduling mechanism based on timer interrupt. Based on the model, we apply lottery algorithm into Linux OS. Also, we discuss on real-time OS, and summarize and catterize algorithms on real-time OS.Finally, the research work is summarized, and further work directions are pointed out.
