The Design And Development Of Intelligent University English Writing Training System

English writing skill is an important indicator for measuring the English comprehensive capabilities of college and university students. In order to improve students’English writing skills of, most colleges and universities have reformed and adopted a computer and network-aided English training system. However, the relationship among teacher, computer and student still remains at one-way teaching level and the writing skills of the students have not been greatly improved, due to the imbalance of the teacher-student ratio, being lack of communication on English writing between teachers and students, and within the student groups, insufficient English writing trainings for students. To solve this problem, the project has integrated the actual demand of college and university users, designed an intelligent English writing training system by fully applied techniques such as natural language processing, UI (user interface) processing, and access control. It explored new approaches of college and university English writing skills training on the basis of network technologies, in a bid to improve the results of English writing teaching and students’English writing level.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the importance of developing the intelligent English writing training system, proposes the main research content, then expounds the Entity Framework, UI processing techniques and access control model related to the system. It emphatically discusses various natural language processing approaches including clauses, participles, word-activity tagging, phrase block, spell check and grammar check. Then it performs system analysis and designing work, proposes system construction targets, analyzes the targeted group of the system as well as user functional requests, and establishes the concept model of the system recognized by users. Based on the static model and dynamic model acquired through analysis, it integrates the specific request of key techniques, mainly discusses the progress of system integral framework design, writing knowledge database design, business functional block specific design, database design and key technical design. Finally, it specifically elaborates the realization of typical functions of the system as well as the approaches for realizing key techniques of the system. Practice has proved that, the intelligent college and university English writing skills training system has better application background and practical application value.
