With rapid development of the global economy and society, intelligent security play the role of the increasingly prominent for the protection of citizens’ lives, property security, combat and deter crime and maintain social stability and unity. In the smart security system, video surveillance system is important and has become a hot research.With the wide deployment of monitor cameras, the video surveillance data presents a rapid growth, it is worthy of in-depth study about the real-time storage and transcoding of massive video data. A large number of opening cloud computing frameworks are proposed. Hadoop become an analysis tool for distributed large data cloud computing, which can be used in video surveillance data analysis, focusing on the analysis of video data file format, storage mode, transcoding mode and query mode, so as to realize the storage, query and transcoding of video surveillance. Compared to the traditional video surveillance technology, Hadoop has the advantages of large storage space, fast transmission rate, high real-time performance and good stability. This paper designs a security video surveillance system based on Hadoop. The main works includes:1. The demand analysis of system platform was given firstly, which discussed the functional requirement and the performance need. Then the architecture was built about the security video surveillance system based on Hadoop parallel processing technology.2. Design and realize the functional modules of the video monitoring system. On the basis of the basic function module, it realizes the function of the platform, the video cloud storage, the user management and the equipment management function.3. Through the running results, various technological index, including stability, reliability, scalability and other major technical performance indicators have reached the program requirements and design goals.This paper designs and realizes the security video monitoring system, which can solve the problem of massive video storage space, meet the requirements of the video monitoring system, and improve the stability and reliability of the system.
