With the development of the times, monitors and projectors have become the indispensable display device in people’s lives. Because different display devices have the different coloration mechanism,it’s pretty difficult to transmit and reproduce the image color information accurately.To solve this problem, display device color correction is proposed.After introducing the display device’s color principle,we anaylyse the coloration mechanism of the display device, the quantitative analysis about the display device in time stability,spatial uniformity, channel independence and image stabilization time.In this paper,we adopt the tone curve mode method based on polynomial, improved tone curve model based on polynomial and GOG model to conduct the color space conversion, respectively performing the experimental research on different display devices and the different numbers of training samples. After the getting model,we use the color difference formula to analyze the one hundred sets of testing samples,gaining the average color difference, the minimum color difference and maximum color difference of each model. The main contents are as follows:The tone curve mode method based on polynomial: we adopt the tone curve mode method based on quadratic polynomial,cubic polynomial and quartic polynomial. For the projector, when the feature function is two time polynomial based on tone curve model and 11 sets of data are selected, the model can get the highest accuracy at this time.The average color difference is 2.4029, the minimum color difference is 0.1951 and the maximum color difference is 6.3890.Improved tone curve model based on polynomial: the weighted least square method is used to solve the model. This method can improve the accuracy of color correction in a certain extent, but the final result is related to the selection of the weight. For the HP ProDisplay P221 when the feature function is two time polynomial based on improved tone curve model and 9 sets of data are selected, the model can get the highest accuracy at this time. The average color difference of this model is 1.5678,the minimum color difference is 0.1951, the maximum color difference is 5.7247.GOG model: using the theory of optimization, the optimal solution of the parameters of the GOG model is optimized by the steepest descent method and the golden section algorithm. For HP Compaq L2206 tm display, when the GOG model and 17 sets of data are selected, the model can get the highest accuracy at this time.The average color difference is 2.5143, the minimum color difference is 0.4448 and the maximum color difference is 4.4603.The experimental results show that the results of color correction not only have much to do with the selected models, but also with the display devices and the selecting of the training samples.In order to obtain a better color conversion effect,we we need to select different methods and training samples for different devices.
