Rendering is the process of changing a model into an image, throughout the whole process of rendering tasks, data need to constantly exchange between rendering nodes and storage nodes. When the cluster system scale up, the load of data processing will be increased. So storage system I / O performance and data reliability have a large impact on the rendering system, poor storage performance will directly affect the efficiency of rendering tasks. Therefore this study based rendering technology, searching a storage system more suitable for rendering platform. Its main contents are as follows:(1) The Cloud Rendering Platform is a 24 hours uninterrupted services platform. Considering the features of data manipulation on this platform, this paper analysises the high-performance distributed storage system which is suitable for the rendering platform and should meet the needs of non-stop elastic expansion and high speed data reading and writing.(2) Based on the meta data central server, this paper analysises the architectural features and operating characteristics of the data in both of the centralized and uncentralized distributed storage system.Then applies the Gluster FS into the platform, while studying how to build storage system through flexible modular design and elastic volume distribution, at the same time, optimizing its performance.(3) Cluster FS provides a unified namespace with high performance, high availability and high scalability storage system. Since it is only suitable for the Linux and UNIX kernel modules and software, this paper explores accessing the system through a standard file protocol, combining the CTDB with file system to achieve a simpler and more efficient distributed system with high availability.(4) Gluster FS earns several outstanding advantages in many areas. However, the system itself does not have the load balancing function due to its structural characteristics. In order to improve its overall performance, a load balancing technology LVS is applied to the system, which helps the system handling massive data access.Currently, each rendering service providers are working on to design a variety of storage solutions, how to design a rational and efficient program still need to try and practice.Research on this topic based on the actual application, apply the Gluster FS in rendering and prove its superiority and feasibility, and put forward some measures to optimize performance through practice. However, a perfect, efficient, safe, reliable storage system, this study is not enough, the monitoring system, data compression, data consistency still need to study.
