With the fast development of our country’s wireless communication industry recently, the number of mobile devices increases quickly. The network scale expand rapidly and the energy consumption of mobile communication industry becomes higher and higher. In our country, environmental protection problem becomes more outstanding. Energy saving and reduction is a task in every field of industry. Although mobile communication industry is not the main part of energy consumption, its energy consumption problem can’t be ignored.Base stations are the main part of energy consumption in mobile communication industry. Radio Frequency(RF) devices are the main part of energy consumption in base stations. The parameters, such like number and power, of RF devices effect the energy consumption. If the parameters aren’t set properly, there will be a waste of energy. Based on this problem, this paper introduces “On Energy Efficient Antenna Deployment of Distributed Antenna Systems”.Distributed Antenna Systems(DAS) is considered as one of key technology of next generation mobile communication. DAS’s innovation is separating base-band processing unit(BBU) and remote radio unit(RRU) and connecting them with fiber. Distributed antennas shorten the distance between the antennas and users and decrease transmission path lose, then improves energy efficiency. Firstly this paper introduces the research status of green communication and distributed antenna systems, then presents analysis of wireless channel and energy saving technology for base station, finally analyzes on energy efficient antenna deployment of distributed antenna systems. The outlines and main achievement of this paper are analysis of existing energy efficiency standard, establishing and solving mathematical model, verifying the correctness of the proposed algorithm.
