The rapid development of information technologymakes lots of things which were difficult to achieve in the past become reality. Some command and control systemfor special applications has enabled peer to peer and point to multipoint multimedia command scheduling communications which can exchange information in real-time audio, video, text, whiteboard and other multi-dimensional. Nevertheless, in multimedia command and control system, the audio and video are still the most important and most critical part.This paper mainly studies the key technologies ofaudio and video in command and control system based on softswitch and discusses some technologies including mixing in audio processing, silence detection algorithm and video stitching in video processing in detail.Firstly, this paper sums up technologies in audio and video processing including mixing, silence detection, video stitchingprocessing and other related technologies based on the audio and video processing model in multimedia conferencing systems. Secondly, the mixing algorithm, silence detection algorithm and video stitching methods in IP packet network are studied and their advantages, disadvantages and their application environment are analyzed. Then, according to the actual needs, the mixing algorithm, silence detection algorithm are optimized and improved. After simulation on Matlab, their good practical results are confirmed. and the use of Matlab simulation and analysis, optimization and validation of the improvements made to achieve a good practical effect. At last, a video stitching method without offset based on mixed video compression domain and pixel domain is proposed. After simulation in H.264, the results show that the proposed method can improve the PSNR and decrease the bitrate.
