As one of the most widely used Internet services, E-mail(E-mail) is used for dispat ch and communication by many enterprise LAN at present when mail server has been set up. But the use of software enterprise mail system professional needs a lot of mon eyto invest which still can not fully meet the individual demand of enterprise. It is ver y necessary to set up a powerful and easy to expand and maintenance e-mail system which is a good beginning for the construction of enterprise informatization.This paper first simply analysis of the current situation, problems and development trend of general purpose mail system, and then combine the enterprises business office and its special function demand of business mail, given for office business mail system(namely the office mail system) overall plan; use the B/S model and the hierarchical design completed implementation of Architecture design, Department of mail system database design and each function module. And emphatically introduced the technology department mail management, email templates, message encryption key function.J2EE platform based on the local area network mail system, using SSH(struts2.0+spring+hibernate) framework for the architecture of the system, the coupling degree of system modules and code greatly reduced, structure clear, easy to maintain and modify. The mail system in the realization of the basic mail management functions to provide users with a contact list, photo albums, Internet mail service, and in part function is combined with Ajax technology, can improve the performance of the system in a certain extent, but also the user interface allows more flexible control.
