Microwave remote sensing is a kind of very important remote sensing technology, it has all-weather work ability. Microwave remote sensing relative to the visible light and thermal infrared is less affected by rain,cloud, etc. In recent years as some spaceborne radiometers being launched and studied, microwave radiometer play a more and more important role in the field of microwave remote sensing. Spaceborne microwave radiometer, however, due to its limitation of low working frequency and relatively small antenna size, its spatial resolution is low, and has great difference, bring difficulties in multifrequency collaborative geographical parameters inversion. Therefore, by studying the radiometer detection mechanism, to enhance the spatial resolution and regrid data is very important for the inversion application.This article first lists some typical spaceborne microwave imager at home and abroad their spacial resolution. A brief view of the research of spaceborne radiometer spatial resolution enhancement and regridding in recent years is given. Then three main spatial resolution enhancement and rigridding algorithms of microwave radiometer:BG algorithm, SIR algorithm, image deconvolution algorithm are systematically elaborated.Second,we explain the detection principle and scanning geometry of the first spaceborne microwave imager in our country, and studied its footprint positioning method, established the projection model of effective field of view(EFOV). Using its antenna pattern to calculate its EFOV on the ground. On the premise of using its EFOV, we study to regridding the spatial resolution of microwave imager based on the BG algorithm which has dominant resolution/noise tuning parameters, and gives the optimal regridding resolution and its performance.Finally, we made a summary of the research work of using BG algorithm and combed the next research work in the future.
