With the rapid development of science and technology, the wireless communications progress continuously. In order to realize the multimode communication and expand the system capacity, the communication system must support the work in multiple frequency bands. In 2014, the fourth generation mobile communication system has been used in C hina and the mobile communication industry will be in a period of rapid development. Requirements on mobile terminals are more critical. The antenna, as a key component of the mobile terminal, determines the overall performance of the mobile terminal. Therefore the design of the antennas which can cover the frequency band of TD-LTE is very significant.This thesis introduces the theories and technique basis for realizing miniaturization and multiband. Based on these theories, two antennas have been designed by using electromagnetic simulation software. The two dual- frequency antennas can work in 2300MHz-2390 MHz and 2555MHz-2655 MHz which contain C hina Telecom and China Unicom’s fourth generation mobile communication system band. Based on the two dual- frequency antennas, two tri-band antennas have been designed after innovating. The tri-band antennas can work in 1880MHz-1900 MHz, 2300MHz-2390 MHz and 2555MHz-2655 MHz which contain C hina Mobile’s TD-LTE band. The final test results are close to the simulation results.The bandwidth of S11 which is in less than-10 dB can reach 90 MHz even more and the antennas gain also meets the design requirements. The two tri-band antennas have simple structure and every frequency band can be adjusted independently. Thus they can easy to use in other frequency after a simple adjustment.This thesis includes the design of the two triple band microstrip antennas by slotting the radiation surface and the depth analysis of the parameters which affect the antenna performance. The designed antenna is valuable for engineering practice.
