CPS technology first appeared in the USA. Since CPS had been as a key research direction by academician of US National Academy of Sciences, it has been paid attention by many countries in the world, and a large amount of money into research. USA president Science and Technology Advisory Committee will be CPS as the most important research direction in the field of IT, think it is America defense and intelligence system is the core and key infrastructure. China also attaches great importance to the development of CPS technology, takes it as an important technology to promote the development of the national economy. In the National Natural Science Fund,863 projects and 973 Plan, CPS had been included in the study hotspot and emphasis.The job in the thesis is mainly study the basic principles of the CPS, CPS architecture and hierarchical modeling techniques, and build CPS environmental information modeling framework based on hierarchical modeling techniques.First, this thesis studies the concept of CPS. By the representative of several definitions, including the definition given by the US National Science Foundation, the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, Lee Edward A., SaStry, He Jifeng academicians, CPS concept is summed up, and its core is integration of controllable networked physical process and the computation process. Then, the thesis describes the operating modes and architecture of CPS, with emphasis on the perception and control functions of CPS.Secondly, starting from the data and metadata, with the introduction of the model meta-model, "meta", which represents hierarchy relationship, is defined, and has the features: relativity and infinity. To avoid meta-level infinity problems, finite hierarchy meta-model system is introduced, and also a typical 4-layer meta-layer structure-Meta-Object Facility-is described. Through the domain model definition and interpretation, the thesis shows the necessity and effectiveness of the existence of the domain model. Then the thesis gives the general step of analyzing and building a hierarchical domain model.Again, we propose a method of environment information modeling, the method uses a hierarchical modeling ideas and domain modeling methods, defines a meta-meta-model of environmental information. The method lays the foundation of unified environmental information’s meta-model and different information representation form.Finally, the thesis designs a CPS environmental information modeling tool. The tool implements modeling of CPS environmental information, and its theory basis of the tool is hierarchical domain modeling theory. Topics include syntax definition and constraint of the environmental information meta-meta-model, functional requirements and system design.
