Crowd behavior’s simulation has become a frontier topic, and has been extensively applied to many fields including movies, games, and virtual reality et al. Most of existing approaches to simulate heterogeneous crowd behaviors focus on the aspect of psychology. From human’s physiological characteristics perspective, this thesis generates different behavior’s crowd based on the influence of physiological characteristics to human’s behavior.The main work of this thesis can be represented as follows:1) Simulating heterogeneous crowd behavior based on physiological characteritics is proposed, and it is analyzed that how the physiological characteristics influence human’s behavior.2) A mapping from physiological characteristics including gender, age, weight, and health to RVO parameters is proposed. The four human’s physiological characteristics are classified into 3-fuzzy levels. After classification, two methods including user study, video tracking and analysis are presented, and RVO’s parameters are determined through above methods. Then by combining these four single characteristics, a comprehensive mapping can generate last parameters for agents.3) The platform of prototype system is designed and implementd. The experiment and analysis have been designed and conducted. Through a number of simulation and validation experiments, the valid and efficient of proposed methods are demonstrated, and it works well to generate heterogeneous crowd behavior simulation.
