Police Case-oriented Face Image Pattern Recognition System Design And Implementation

With the developing of politics, economy and technology rapidly, the criminal means and criminal situation have been changed a lot. In order to ensure the safety of the people’s life and wealth, some advanced detection means of capture should be adopted in the police department.The police case-oriented face image pattern recognition system which aims at capturing crime quickly is studied in this thesis. The system can effciently increase the precision of prevention crime. It can improve the ability of the prevention and controls the criminal cases. The main points of the thesis are as follows:1) The research background, significance of selected topic, and the state of the art of the police case-oriented face image pattern recognition system are given. The distinctiveness of recognition of criminal by Facial recognition technology is also introduced.2) According to the specific requirements, the system is mainly divided into five modules: image acquisition module, image preprocessing module, face positioning module, feature extraction module, and the identification module. The performance and functionality requirements of the system are also analyzed.3) Based on the design of the system, the flow chart of each module is designed and implemented, the core codesnippets and related interface are presented.To evaluate the system, extensive experiments are performed. The experimental results show that the system has implemented the function of face perception and the target of the demands. The system has simple, intuitive and friendly interface. The functions of this system can help the police to capture criminal fast.
