Microwave electronics has been in fresh demand since it came into force, has established a perfect theory system after more than 100 years of development. Microwave vacuum electron devices has become the core of modern communication system. As an important part of microwave vacuum devices, the design of electron gun is crucial to the efficiency of the whole tube. With the development of technology, many new kinds of electronic gun emerge in an endless stream after the Pierce electron gun. These new electron guns can meet the new requirements of microwave tube, such as high frequency, high power, high efficiency, high gain, small, fast response time. Gridded electron gun and sheet beam electron gun emerge as the times require. As a new research hotspot, the design work of gridded electron gun and sheet beam electron gun appears to have the significance. Depends on the research, the design work of gridded electron gun and sheet beam electron gun are still need to be improved.In this thesis, gridded electron gun and sheet beam electron gun are mainly studied. Focus on the effects of changes in the structure of gridded control electron gun especially the focusing electrode and the anode with and without grid model. For the grid structure, mainly analyzes the gun performance changing with the change of grid position as well as the grid wire and thickness. From the results of the gridded electron gun, grid position is most sensitive, the sensitive degree of the focusing electrode is less than the anode structure. The influence of outer grid wire is higher than the inner layer, the gate wire layer is less, and the beam waist radius is smaller. In this thesis, based on the conclusion of the sensitivity analysis, sums up the method of designing and optimizing the gridded electron gun.In this thesis, the formation, focusing and transmitting of sheet beam electron gun are mainly analyzed on the sheet electron beam. By using wiggler magnetic field to focus the sheet electron beam, emphatically analyzes the wiggler magnetic field with a groove structure of sheet electron beam focusing effect. Comparison and analysis of with and without grooves of wiggler magnetic field are made on the effect of the sheet electron beam focusing performance, also analyzes the value of central magnetic field with different size of groove. In the last part, ladder groove and gridded sheet beam electron gun are proposed. Ladder groove can extend the transmission distance. Gridded electron gun can provide operation from beam current to cut off, and sheet electron beam has many advantages in higher frequency vacuum electronic devices. Gridded sheet beam electron gun obtains these advantages.
