Along with the popularization and rapid development of virtualization and cloud computing, more and more companies begin to upgrade internal office environment to the virtual platform. Traditional method of virtual machine deployment according to the conventional PC machine configuration experience to allocate the virtualized resources, this method can’t really evaluate virtual machine in the production environment of the actual load resulting in virtualized resources waste. On the virtual platform virtual machine deployment scheme to verify the measurement should be pressure tested strictly, but the current pressure test tool for virtual platform can not load the real behavior of simulated users well, test solution for the deployment of virtual machines are basically completed by manual.This paper takes the system architecture of oVirt virtual platform and key technology based on work, summarizing and analyzing the prerequisite software pressure test theory and the tool platform virtualization pressure existing testing methods and general condition, designed and implemented a virtual machine pool pressure test system based on oVirt platform named ODSS(oVirt Desktop Stress-testing Suite). The main research contents are as follows:1 With the study of existing virtualization platform pressure test tool and general software testing theory, testing methods and steps, analyzing the shortcomings of traditional load model in the virtual platform pressure test field, put forward a kind of stochastic load model based on Markov chain, the model using Markov chain to describe the user behavior habit, used to simulate real user the behavior of load,improving the.utilization rate of resource vitualization.2 Researching the principle and characteristics of oVirt virtual platform,developed a virtual desktop pool platform pressure test process combined with oVirt virtual desktop pool technology and basic stress testing model. Design of two kinds of pressure test mode with analysis of user pressure test requirements: random pattern and sequential pattern, random pattern using random load model to simulate the real behavior of user generated load, the sequential model using the traditional load model to produce the peak load.3 Designed and implemented the pressure testing system for virtual desktop pool platform based on the oVirt, the system comprises two subsystems: a control manager and load simulator. Subsystem uses XML-RPC to communicate, through a shared folder to store the XML format used in the test suite, in load simulator subsystem using Roulette wheel selection algorithm for random load model to realize. Put forward a kind of virtual desktop pool data generation algorithm based on modal number to analysis test metadata, and generated the final test report based on PDF format.Based on the existing test theory, this paper first put forward a pressure test method for solving the desktop virtual machine deployment of oVirt virtual desktop pool platform, and realizes a series of test process included the selection of test model,the formulation of load model, index setting, test automation and analysis of test results.The test shows that this system has reached the test requirements, the test report generated is goot at improving the plans for the deployment of the virtual machine,which provides a reference for the study of pressure testing platform virtualization.
