Fault diagnosis for analog circuits is a hot area of research in the world, and the application of artificial intelligence technology in the research field of fault diagnosis is increasing. The emergence and development of automatic test system has overcome the constraints of traditional manual method of test and diagnosis and completed the function to test and diagnose the UUT(Unit Under Test) automatically. Therefore, as an integral part of automatic test system, researches on the fault diagnosis for analog circuits, especially the research and realization of analog circuits diagnosis tool based on artificial intelligence algorithm, will be the major part of the thesis.To develop a convenient and practical diagnosis tool, research and implementation of the fault diagnosis tool for analog circuits using in automatic test system will be accomplished based on the artificial intelligence algorithm. The major point in the research shown below:In the research of the fault diagnosis for analog circuits, simulation experiments will be conducted using typical circuits module based on three artificial intelligence algorithms, which will provide the theoretical basis for the development of fault diagnosis tool. Software requirement analysis for the fault diagnosis tool will be made based on the research and theory in which artificial intelligence algorithm is applied in the fault diagnosis for analog circuits. The design of fault diagnosis tool will be completed after researching on MFC, DLL, analysis of XML files, and database technologies. MFC will be used to complete the construction of fault diagnosis tool. Dynamic link library will be used to apply artificial intelligence algorithm into the fault diagnosis tool. Analysis of XML files will be made and the files will be appled into fault diagnosis. Database will be used to manage the information about diagnosis. Finally, example verification will be completed with the fault diagnosis tool.It is always being an important issue about how to make progress in the test and fault diagnosis for circuits at home and abroad. Automatic test system and fault diagnosis tool have provided an important way for the diagnosis and maintenance of electronic equipment. As the constituent part of automatic test system, not only does the diagnosis tool based on artificial intelligence algorithm need to realize the data interactive function with automatic test system, but also it will implement the funtion to diagnose the fault of the UUT in real time. Therefor, it is very important to develop a convenient and practical fault diagnosis tool.
