Research And Implementation Of Virtual Tenant Network Technology Based On SDN

With the rapid development of cloud computing technology, the cloud data centers need to provide virtual networks for multi-tenants and ensure each application isolated. The current IP network make the deployment of multi-tenants virtual networks complex as the control logic and data forwarding functions were tightly coupled. As a new type of network architecture, decoupling of the control plane and data plane in SDN networks can solve the issue of multi-tenants management. Therefore, it is necessary to study the technology of multi-tenants virtual networks based on SDN.Through analysis of network virtualization, SDN and other related technologies, the technical issue of traditional construction of the virtual network technology that is difficult to be applied to the data center network are identified. The VTN technology based on SDN has researched, and proposes a virtual network mapping method based on MAC address to complete the mapping between VTN networks and physical networks. Finally, this thesis proposes a QoS-constrained routing algorithm to solve the issue of existing VTN technology that can not provide virtual networks with constraint of quality of service. A VTN management system prototype with support of quality of service based on the SDN controller is designed and implemented. This prototype provides virtual networks for tenants with support of quality of service, and can also improve the utilization of network resources.Based on the SDN experimental platform, the MAC address mapping mechanism and VTN management system prototype with support of quality of service have simulated and tested. The test results show that, the MAC address mapping is feasible, and can simplify the VTN mapping mechanism and improve reliability of the virtual network. In physical network resource pool, The VTN management system can provide virtual networks for tenants with constraint of quality of service.
