With the rapid development of modern communication and computer technology, logistics is becoming informationized and automated. The logistics information system makes logistics operation more efficient, stable and reliable. In the field of computer communication, wireless sensor network has long been a research hotspot and it promises wide and sound application prospect in logistics information system. For example, it can be employed to monitor the process of logistics transportation and warehousing environment.Monitoring through wireless sensor network requires data collection and data query. This thesis, by concentrating on the the aspect of data processing, first proposes a differential transmission algorithm which is based on average values. This algorithm calculates the average values as the expected values under a certain data model and transmits only the differences between expected and measured values so as to cut down the amount of the data being transmitted, to reduce energy consumption, to prolong the network lifetime and to ensure the stable and smooth operation of the logistics information system. Then, this thesis, by means of the TinyOS operating system, designs and develops a logistics warehousing environmental monitoring system, which serves as a Web application of wireless sensor network in logistics information system.
