The photonic crystal fiber(PCF) has received the widespread attentions in the sensing field because of its flexible structure and unique features. The PCF sensors with many advantages such as small volume, simple structure, the online, real-time and long-distance measurement could be widely applied in food testing, biomedical and environmental testing detection. The PCF sensor technologies based on surface plasmonic and directional resonance coupling have been learned and applied in more and more fields due to their contributions to ultrahigh sensitivity. Therefore, the researches in photonic crystal fiber senor based on these two effects have great scientific and application significance.A PCF sensor based on surface plasmonic and directional resonance coupling is introduced. The properties of the index sensor are analyzed by finite element method with the boundary condition of anisotropic perfectly matched layer(PML). The results show that the maximal sensitivities of the sensor can reach 13500nm/RIU and 28700nm/RIU when refractive index is in the range of 1.32 to 1.44 and 1.46 to 1.52 respectively. This sensor improves the dynamic detection range and sensitivity of the refractive index. As the measurement of refractive index is easily affected by the temperature and to overcome the difficulty of coating film in the air holes and solve the problem of the duplicate detection, a D-shaped PCF double parameter sensor based on surface plasmonic and directional resonance coupling is introduced. This sensor can achieve the temperature sensitivity of 11.6nm/oC when the temperature is from-10 oC to 80 oC, and the max index sensitivity can reach 26000nm/RIU when the refractive index is in the range of 1.34 to 1.44. So the double parameters PCF sensor has a great potential application value in the fields of concentration measurement, environmental detection and biochemical detection.
