The emergence of Brain-Computer Interface makes it possible for people to control environment or devices only by their thoughts. However, it’s still largely confined to the laboratory because of the expensive, heavy and inconvenient EEG acquisition equipment. Although there are several portable equipment now, research and development of them is mainly focused on games and entertainment. Therefore, this paper tried to develop a control system of robotic arm based on a portable EEG acquisition equipment which may expand its prospects in other fields.This paper mainly design and realize a control system of robotic arm based on portable EEG acquisition equipment. The main work of this paper are as follows:1. Researched and realized common analysis and classification methods of EEG.2. Found obvious attributes from blink-eye EEG signal which is recorded by portable EEG acquisition equipment.3. Fully analyzed all possible noises and artifacts that may exist and propose an effective way to eliminate them.4. Attracted the sub-band energy from blink-eye EEG by Power Spectrum Analysis. Classified them with four different classifier. And the average classification rate is above 93%.5. Proposed and realized a robotic arm control system based on portable EEG acquisition equipment. Described the design scheme and software process in detail.
