AVS + is China’s own innovative video encoding technology, with higher coding efficiency, with similar international standard H.264 / AVC coding efficiency considerably. With AVS + as a broadcast television video encoding, channel resources can solve the problem faced by the broadcast industry.In the broadcasting industry in the country assigned to the band, located VHF and UHF broadcast television spectrum band, because it has good propagation characteristics, and thus subject to everyone’s attention. For this reason, the development of the white space resources makes transmission without affecting the current service, without re-planning of the spectrum, an increase in a lot of business as possible. This will greatly facilitate the business development of the broadcasting industry, so that the broadcasting industry has become more competitive in the "triple play" of the tide.In this paper, the above issues in-depth exploration, the main work is as followsFirstly, the AVS + standard new core technology. The AVS + standard with several mainstream coding standard comparative advantages and disadvantages, and finally introduced AVS + coding standards to promote the work and the relevant application.Secondly, the research background and research status of the white spectrum. Explores several important cognitive radio spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum management. It describes the advantages of networking technology, independent research and development MiWAVE.Finally, the end-to-end transmission scheme based on AVS + has carried on the design, and detailed the wireless broadband two-way transmission platform based on the white space structure and the system’s main technology involved.At present, nanjing TV station design of wireless broadband two-way transmission platform based on the white space program already in daily production work, and achieved excellent results. The use of U band white space resources, will be based on AVS + coded video transmission over wireless broadband two-way radio and television transmission network construction. This design, forward-looking and exploratory, will be hope for future development of the broadcasting industry.
