Near infrared spectroscopy(NIR) has been widely used in the tobacco industry, due to its various advantages including fast detection, high efficiency, low cost and easy to be applied, etc. However, NIR responding area is mainly based on the dominant frequency and second harmonic generation derived from hydrogen groups. Consequently, it is hard to obtain clear and effect signals due to the low adsorption strength and overlay of the absorption band. Therefore, the pre-operation system is of great significance for the further application of NIR. The present manuscript deigned and investigated a pre-operation system for tobacco analysis. In this paper, the main modules are pretreatment module and result display module怂We evaluated the data effects on the producing area and the quantitative forecast of the chemical contents of tobacco leaf before and after analyzed by NIR technique. The experimental results demonstrate that pre-operation system is useful for forecasting of the tobacco leaf producing area and the chemical contents.Our work is mainly focus on the following parts:1. Programming of NIR pre-operation system for multiple kinds of tobaccos. There are lots of NIR pre-operation methods. Herein we realized the first-order derivative, second derivative, Sav Gol smooth, Sav Gol first-order derivative, Sav Gol second derivative, limited pulse, and multiple scatting correction methods.2. Design and realization of tobacco NIR pre-operation system. According to the practical producing conditions, we designed the NIR pre-operation system.3. Comparison of the data before and after treated with tobacco NIR pre-operation system. By taking the producing area and chemical content as the standard measurements, we evaluated the forecast accuracy of the proposed tobacco NIR pre-operation system. By analysis the experimental data, we could infer that the NIR pre-operation system is capable for forecasting the producing area, the chemical content and the quantitative analysis of tobacco leafs.
